A valid UAE Driving License is necessary for all hirers with UAE residence visas. If a visit/tourist visa holder has changed the status to resident visa during the term of hire, he/she must obtain a UAE driving license to continue driving the vehicle in UAE, for insurance coverage to be applicable and the hirer should immediately notify Europcar about the change in Visa status and provide copies of the new visa and UAE driving license to continue the rental, otherwise it will be treated as a breach of contract and the hirer will be liable to pay all claims/losses/expenses incurred due to the breach. |

Not recommended. However, as an exception, Europcar may accept debit cards with an additional security deposit of estimated rental charges plus AED 2500/-(Please note the amount is charged & not preauthorized)

Release of Security Deposit:
The deposit amount held on the credit card is a temporary hold which is preauthorized. The hold will be cancelled from the account after 30 days from the day of blocking . The amount will not be physically debited, but the account balance will increase once the hold is released. If there are any issues after 30 working days, customers should contact their bank to confirm the status of the authorization. Europcar can be contacted via email at billing@europcardxb.com if the blocked amount is not released after checking with the bank. Upon receiving the notification, Europcar Dubai will send a request to the bank to check the status of the blocked amount, and the status will be updated within 5 working days.
